We offer the pushback as a pushback with walkout assistant and as a single man pushback. During a walkout, a walkout assistant supports our tractor driver. He takes over communication with the cockpit and is responsible for safety during pushback and engine start.

Our tractor driver performs a single man pushback alone. He also takes on the tasks of the walkout assistant and communicates directly with the cockpit and apron control. This ensures a speedy and economical pushback.

When aircraft without crew or passengers need to be moved at Munich Airport, EFM is the company to call. We offer towing (from one parking position to another) and towing (from one parking position to the hangar area).

We use modern towing vehicles for all shunting operations, including towbar tractors from Trepel and Schopf as well as towbarless towing vehicles from Goldhofer and Kalmar.

The aircraft de-icing system at Munich Airport is unique worldwide. The Munich method guarantees safe, fast, economical and environmentally friendly de-icing. 

The aircraft are de-iced on de-icing areas at the runway heads immediately before take-off with the engines running. We use several modern vehicles from Vestergaard for de-icing. Thanks to remote de-icing, the aircraft can take off within a very short time after de-icing.

Used de-icing fluid is collected on the de-icing areas using a special system and processed into fresh fluid in our recycling plant. We cover up to 70 percent of our Type I de-icing fluid requirements with this recyclate.

With our modern air conditioning vehicles and heaters, we can quickly and easily air condition aircraft that have been on the ground for a long time. Depending on the outside temperature, warm or cool air is fed into the on-board ventilation system via special connections on the aircraft and the cabin is heated or cooled in this way.

We also use our heaters to de-ice engine blades and propellers.

We offer theoretical and practical training in German and English. And we can advise you on site, for example on the analysis and optimization of aircraft de-icing processes.

In 2019, we were the first European company to introduce a pushback simulator for training purposes. The ATVehicle™ is a realistic real-time simulator and enables safe and effective training for all pushback and towing operations - for both novice and experienced drivers.

Training in a simulator has numerous advantages: Training can be standardized and thus shortened, driving performance can be evaluated more easily, and work steps that cause problems can be identified more quickly and practiced specifically.
