EFM is a subsidiary of Lufthansa and Flughafen München GmbH (FMG). Our company has been responsible for part of the ground handling at Munich Airport since 1992: the maneuvering (pushback and towing), de-icing and air-conditioning of aircraft. We carry out more than 200,000 maneuvering operations and up to 15,000 de-icing operations every year and ensure safe, punctual and economical handling.

We also pass on our know-how: with our consulting services, we work for other ground handlers, airports and airlines. We offer training in theory and practice, advice and technical support in German and English.

Our quality management (ISO 9001) is a central component of our work processes. Our customers benefit from this: They can rely on EFM's services always being of the same high standard. Our comprehensive QM documentation forms the basis for the work of our 150 operational employees, who are regularly trained and reviewed in line with the QM system.

A responsible approach to the environment is a key quality feature of EFM. We have therefore integrated our environmental management (ISO 14001) into our quality management and take into account environmental aspects in all our activities.

We are increasingly relying on electromobility in our fleet. When de-icing, the used de-icing fluid is processed into fresh fluid in our recycling plant and reused.

EFM has been a fixture at Munich Airport for more than 30 years, and its customers and partners can always rely on it. When it comes to de-icing, we enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide. This is also reflected in the fact that numerous customers and colleagues from all over the world visit us to find out about our de-icing system, which is unique in its size.
